What Walmart asks of every image
- Walmart recommends at least four images per listing.
- Images are RGB with 8 bits per channel; GIF is not accepted.
- Main images can’t carry watermarks, seller names or logos, accessories that don’t come with the item, other retailers’ names, promotional claims or non-English text.
Required and recommended
Required rules can get a listing rejected; recommended ones affect how it looks, for example zoom. Our photo check uses these:
- Square (1:1) (required)
- Seamless white background (RGB 255) (required)
- 5 MB or smaller (required)
- At least 1500 × 1500 px, so zoom works (recommended)

Questions
How can I check my photos against the Walmart rules?
Open Walmart photos, add your photos and turn on “Just check my photos”: each one is checked as it is, and you see what passes and why the rest fail. It reads JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF photos. Turn it off to make a 2200 × 2200 px copy that is checked again.
Is PixListing free?
Yes. PixListing is free to use and needs no account. On the free plan you can add up to 30 photos at once, 50 MB each.
