Bulk barcode generator
This bulk barcode generator makes many barcodes at once: paste your codes, one per line, with a name and a quantity if you like. Every code is checked, and the PDF puts them on the label sheet you use.
Good to know
How to write the list
- One code per line: code, then a name to print under it, then how many labels. The name and the quantity are optional.
- Commas or tabs separate the parts, so a CSV exported from a spreadsheet works as it is; a header row is skipped.
- UPC and EAN codes may leave off the last digit: the check digit is worked out and added for you.
- Names print in plain letters: accents and symbols such as é or ™ are simplified or left out, and a long name is shortened to fit.
- A code with a typo is named with its line number and left out; the others still print.
- Up to 500 labels in one PDF on the free plan.
Label sheets
The 30-per-sheet US Letter labels (1 × 2-5/8 in), A4 sheets with 24 or 21 labels, or a thermal printer with one 2.25 × 1.25 in label per page. Each barcode is as large as its label allows and never larger than the standard size. On a short label the bars get shorter, not narrower, so UPC and EAN codes stay at 80% of their standard width or more.
Your own numbers only
This tool prints the numbers you give it; it does not make up UPC or EAN numbers. Those identify one product of one brand in GS1’s system, and most retailers want numbers licensed from GS1. For your own stock, bins and shelves, Code 128 with your SKUs needs no license.
Questions
Can I print different codes on one sheet?
Yes. Each line is one code; the labels fill the sheet in the order of the list, each repeated by its quantity.
Why is a line left out?
Its code did not pass the check, for example a UPC with the wrong check digit or a letter in it. The message names the line and what is wrong.
