More than the main image
- Every product needs at least one image; Amazon suggests at least six.
- Only the main image must be on pure white. The others can show the product in use, its scale next to everyday objects, close-ups and the packaging.
- Every image must be clear and sharp, without pixelation or jagged edges.
Required and recommended
Required rules can get a listing rejected; recommended ones affect how it looks, for example zoom. Our photo check uses these:
- At least 1,000 px on the longest side (zoom) (required)
- Pure white background (RGB 255) (required)
- Product not cut off at the edge (required)
- Product fills at least 85% of the frame (required)

Questions
How can I check my photos against the Amazon rules?
Open Amazon photos, add your photos and turn on “Just check my photos”: each one is checked as it is, and you see what passes and why the rest fail. It reads JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF photos. Turn it off to make a 2000 × 2000 px copy that is checked again.
Is PixListing free?
Yes. PixListing is free to use and needs no account. On the free plan you can add up to 30 photos at once, 50 MB each.
