Rotate image
Rotate an image 90°, 180° or by any angle, and flip it. One setting for every photo you add.
Good to know
Turning photos
- “90° right” and “90° left” turn a sideways photo upright; the width and height swap.
- “Any angle” straightens a tilted horizon or shelf: a few degrees is usually enough. The photo is turned on a larger canvas, so nothing is cut off; the new corners are white in a JPG and transparent in PNG, WebP or AVIF.
- Every photo you add gets the same turn, so a batch from one shoot is done in one go.
Phone photos that show up sideways
A phone stores which way it was held as a tag next to the picture. Some apps and websites ignore the tag, so the photo shows sideways there. Every photo is first shown the way the phone meant it, then turned as you choose, and the saved file is upright without needing the tag.
Questions
Does rotating lower the quality?
A quarter or half turn moves the pixels without changing them; the file is then saved again, at the quality you set (92 by default) for JPG, or losslessly as PNG. Any other angle redraws the picture, which softens it very slightly.
Can I rotate many photos at once?
Yes. Add them together; each gets the same turn and mirror, and “Download all” gives one ZIP.
Is PixListing free?
Yes. PixListing is free to use and needs no account. On the free plan you can add up to 100 photos at once, 50 MB each.
